Simple fees

GameLister is a United States only marketplace built so independent sellers can compete without renting expensive storefronts. Listing is free. The price on a listing is the price the buyer pays for the item, and it includes the buyer fee.

Buyer fee

• 3% of the item price, rounded to the nearest cent. Shipping is not included.
• $0.50 minimum. On a small item, 3% would not cover card processing, so the fee is $0.50 instead. The listing says so.
• Checkout and the receipt show the buyer fee on its own line. A listing shows the all-in item price with a note when that price includes the fee.
• A full refund returns the item, shipping, and the buyer fee. A partial refund returns 3% of the refunded items.

Seller payout

• No GameLister seller fee. Stripe processing applies. We do not take a percent of the sale, and there is no small-order add-on.
• Stripe's card processing fee comes out of the payout. Postage the platform pays for a label can come out of the payout too.
• The seller receives what is left of the item and any shipping the buyer paid, after those costs.

Examples

• $10.00 item → buyer fee is the $0.50 minimum. The buyer pays $10.50 before shipping.
• $20.00 item, free shipping → 3% is $0.60. The buyer pays $20.60.
• $100.00 item, free shipping → 3% is $3.00. The buyer pays $103.00.
• Shipping the buyer pays is added on top. It is not part of the 3%.

Stripe's card fee is usually about 2.9% + $0.30 on the charge. Confirm the current rate with Stripe. That processing cost is separate from the buyer fee, and it is not a GameLister seller fee.

• Listing items from inventory on your storefront
• Barcode library lookup (title autofill when the UPC is in our library)
• Buyer tools: browse, chat, offers, watchlist (buyer account free)

How we compare

Competing marketplaces often stack listing fees, promoted listing %, high final-value fees, or subscription store plans. Their rates change — always check their sites. GameLister's pitch is simple:

• No monthly store rent to keep a branded shop online
• No per-listing insertion fee on the GameLister shop
• No GameLister seller fee. Stripe processing applies. Buyers pay a 3% buyer fee on the item ($0.50 minimum).

When you get paid

• Buyer pays via Stripe → funds held on platform
• Shipped orders: seller enters carrier tracking, then buyer confirms delivery
• Local pickup: both parties enter dual meetup codes in GameLister (no carrier tracking required)
• First sale: additional 7-day cooldown before any payout can release
• After cooldown: payout when completion rules above are satisfied
• Seller receives the item and collected shipping, minus Stripe processing and any platform-paid postage

Listing is free

Adding inventory does not cost listing credits. Use a webcam, USB camera, phone upload, barcode library match, and typed details — all free. Paid photo-AI / listing-assist packs are discontinued. There is no GameLister seller fee when an order is paid. Buyers pay the buyer fee shown on the listing.

Taxes

Sellers are responsible for determining and remitting applicable sales tax, income tax, and other obligations. The buyer fee is not a tax. This page does not decide whether a state treats that fee as taxable.

Changes

We may change fees with notice on this page and/or in the product. Orders already paid use the fee recorded on that order.
